How do you find what day of the week a holiday fell on from a prior year

Answer:

Answer

If you know what day the holiday is on, you can go to that calendar thing on the lower right hand corner of your computer and double click and it will tell you after you press the right buttons to get to that year and day. That is all I can tell you.

Answer

If the holiday always falls on the same calendar day each year (Christmas, New Years, Valentine's Day etc.) then the day of the week moves forward one day for each year. Unless there is a leap year...then holidays that fall after Feb.29th move two weekdays in that year.

So...if Christmas is on a Wednesday this year then it was on a Tuesday last year unless this year is a leap year and then it was on a Monday.

I'm sure you could work out some sort of formula fairly easily enough...but I've got better things to do.

Checking a calendar works too...

Answer

Certain holidays are set to fall on a certain day of the year. Examples include: Memorial Day is the last Monday in May, Labor Day is the first Monday in September, Thanksgiving Day in the US, originally the last Thursday in November, was altered slightly in the 1930s and now falls on the fourth Thursday in that month. So if the holiday you're wondering about is that kind of holiday, then, well, there you go :-)
